Drama Students visit National Youth Theatre
On the 3rd of May, a group of Years 7 - 10 drama students went to see DNA by the National Youth Theatre at the Southwark Playhouse, London. The GCSE students were able to analyse and appreciate the theatre in the round staging and symbolic use of set and costumes to support their written work. Overall, the students found the intimate performance intriguing, dynamic and engaging.
‘The play was truly different to anything most of us had ever seen before, being performed in an arena stage. The show was really good, with amazing sound and lighting as well as acting. Overall it was a great experience and really inspiring.’
